But Vanilla is more than a philosophical framework or a chatbot. The system is designed around two different ways of working: Vanilla and SAS Tools. VANILLA — Start With What Is Unclear Vanilla is the conversational side of the system. You do not need to know exactly what you are trying to build, solve, or decide. You can simply talk. When your thoughts are scattered, uncertain, contradictory, or still forming, Vanilla works through the conversation with you. It examines the reality behind what you say — your resources, strengths, constraints, human drivers, context, and patterns of thought — and gradually turns what is unclear into structure. The conversation can move through multiple levels of understanding, from what is happening on the surface to the deeper drivers and structures underneath it. As enough structure emerges, Vanilla can identify when a specialized strategic process is appropriate and move into the relevant tool. In this mode, the conversation is the process. You do not need to arrive with a perfectly defined problem. You can arrive with confusion. SAS TOOLS — Start With What You Already Know SAS Tools is the direct strategic side of the system. This is for situations where you already know what you are working on and do not want a general conversation. You bring the business, product, resources, problem, or strategic situation directly into a specialized tool. The tools then run their own structured processes — asking for the information they need, challenging assumptions, identifying missing data, and analyzing the situation according to their specific Framework. Current strategic tools include: Crystalization Framework Starts from real-world resources, constraints, human drivers, and social context to crystallize viable product concepts. Tomahawk Spiral Framework Deconstructs a product to identify its human drivers, psychological impact, behavioral loops, and business advantage. SBS + SGA Reconstructs the current strategic board, identifies friction and mismatch, and determines the next strategic move. CSA Strategic Crystallizer Acts as a strategic interrogator and architect. It systematically extracts financial reality, founder state, team and operations, customer truth, weakness, risk, and strategic constraints before crystallizing the strongest strategic concept and next gambit. CSA can then open deeper strategic processes such as Tomahawk, SBS, Asset Architecture, Prism Gateway, or IIP when appropriate. TWO ENTRY POINTS, ONE SYSTEM The difference is simple: Vanilla: “I don't fully know what is going on yet. Let me talk it through.” SAS Tools: “I know what I'm working on. Give me the right strategic process.” Vanilla is designed to work from confusion toward structure. SAS Tools is designed to work from defined reality toward strategic action. They are not competing modes. They solve different starting conditions. The deeper system connects them: reality is examined, structure emerges, specialized analysis can be activated, and the user can continue questioning, refining, and acting within the same conversational process. THE UNDERLYING IDEA Spiral Mirror does not try to replace human judgment with a single answer. It creates a structured environment in which reality can be examined, assumptions can be challenged, patterns can become visible, and decisions can become clearer. The system is still evolving.
