"Pro recommendation" and "sponsored plug" look nearly identical on the surface. Same product. Same enthusiastic tone. Same camera setup. Anyone can transcribe what's said. Telling a genuine makeup artist giving her honest opinion apart from paid placement or an amateur repeating a trend is a different level of signal to extract. It has to happen before a single product gets ranked, not after. And that's the layer Oriane is actually built on.
Identifying who's talking (professional context, not just follower count), what's being said about a specific product, and whether the framing reads as a paid push or a real opinion, all pulled from raw video, at the volume needed to make "top 10" mean something statistically, not just the first 10 results that happened to come back.
Beauty is a good stress test for this because the incentive to fake authenticity is higher here than almost any other category. If the ranking holds up here, it holds up most places.
