AI background removal where full resolution is free: no 0.25 MP preview, no watermark, no signup for single images. It opens every interior hole (chainrings, lattices, vents) and strips the old backdrop’s color bleed from edges. Batch up to 100 photos into one ZIP. The API is parameter-compatible with remove.bg (which closes Dec 1, 2026), so migrating is a URL and a key. An MCP server lets Claude, Cursor, or VS Code cut backgrounds for you. 1 credit = 1 image at any size.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of snipmat.
The demo image on the homepage is a bicycle chainring for a reason: it is the kind of object most background removers get wrong. The holes between the spokes come back filled in, and the free download is a small preview of the resolution you already had. snipmat is the tool I wanted instead: full resolution free, every hole open, and a proper API and MCP server so the repetitive part can be automated.
Two things I'd love feedback on:
1. Does the editor's erase/restore brush do what you expect on hair and glass?
2. For developers: is the remove.bg-compatible API enough to switch, or is there a parameter you still need?
Try it with no account at https://snipmat.com/editor. I'll be here all day.
