Most AI assistants answer confidently and leave you guessing where it came from. VOM verifies: every claim gets a clear verdict - true, false, or inconclusive - with a confidence score and the public sources it used, so you can check the checking. When the evidence cannot decide, it says inconclusive instead of forcing an answer. It also reads screenshots, extracting the text inside and flagging whether an image looks authentic or AI-generated. Free, no signup, 8 languages.
Hi Product Hunt,
I built VOM because I kept watching AI assistants answer confidently with nothing behind them, while the people around me forwarded screenshots and headlines nobody could easily check.
VOM's one difference is that it shows its work. Ask a question or paste a claim and you get a verdict, a confidence score, and the actual sources it used. If the evidence doesn't support a clear yes or no, it returns inconclusive instead of picking one. That turned out to be the hardest design decision and the one I'm most glad I kept.
It also reads screenshots: upload one and it pulls out the text and flags whether the image looks authentic, AI-generated, or unverifiable.
Three things I'd genuinely like feedback on:
1. Does seeing a confidence score change how much you trust an answer?
2. Is the image check useful or a gimmick?
3. It replies in whatever language you write in across 8 languages. If you try it in yours, I'd like to know how it reads.
Free, no signup. I'll be here all day.
