Hey Product Hunt 👋 I did not build EdgeEver because the world needs yet another notes app. I built it because I missed the direct, dependable workbench feeling of classic Evernote: a notebook tree on the left, a note list in the middle, and the editor on the right. At the same time, I wanted a knowledge base that was open, personally owned, and ready for AI agents. EdgeEver combines that familiar three-pane workflow with self-hosting on Cloudflare or Docker, full ZIP export, cross-platform apps, web clipping, and a Remote MCP endpoint that lets explicitly authorized agents read and organize notes. The goal is simple: familiar without being closed, lightweight without being shallow, and self-hosted without requiring people to become server operators.
