Orkas is an open-source AI team for indie builders, one-person businesses, and small teams β built to help you scale your business. Brief one Commander; specialist agents split the job and deliver: marketing videos, websites, SEO/GEO, data analysis, and anything else you'd hire for. Start with free credits on our hosted models, or bring your own key and keep everything on your machine. Plugs into Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, any MCP server, your data sources. MIT-licensed. macOS + Windows.
I built Orkas for the people doing all of it β indie builders, one-person businesses, small teams. Whatever the headcount, there's no department to hand things to: you ship the product, and you're also the video editor, the SEO person, the one building the landing page, the one staring at analytics on a Sunday night. Not because you enjoy all of it β because there's nobody else.
Every AI tool I tried was good at one of those jobs. None of them made us bigger than our headcount. So Orkas isn't another single agent β it's a team. You brief one Commander. It breaks the job down, delegates to specialist agents, checks their work, and comes back with the finished thing: a marketing video, a landing page, an SEO/GEO plan, a data analysis, and most things in between. For the people we built this for, that output is the business. It's what they sell and what they get paid for. So more output isn't convenience β it's how many clients you can take on. That's the whole bet. Two things worth knowingοΌ Cost β you get 500 free credits on signup, enough for a few hundred agent conversations or a first run at images and video. Or skip our models entirely and plug in your own key. Paid plans exist for heavier use, all listed at orkas.ai/pricing. Privacy β bring your own key and nothing touches our servers: your prompts go straight to your provider. Build from source and there's no account at all. Our hosted models are the one path that runs through us. It's MIT-licensed, 1.4k βοΈ on GitHub, if you'd rather read the code than take my word for it. What I'd love feedback on: the first job you'd hand to a team like this. If Orkas can't do it yet, tell me β that's my roadmap. I'll be here all day. Thanks for reading π
