Most roguelite deckbuilders ask one question: How will you kill this enemy? Slime - gotta eat’em all! asks a different one: Should you kill it, swallow it, or soothe it? Every option changes your run. Kill for faster XP, swallow enemies to absorb their abilities and passives, or soothe them to heal, gain trust, and make their species friendlier in future encounters. This three-way enemy system makes every battle a strategic decision rather than a simple victory condition.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Maxime, the solo creator of Slime - gotta eat’em all!, a turn-based roguelite deckbuilder now available on Android.
I love games where a run is shaped by meaningful decisions, but I wanted enemies to be more than targets you simply defeat. In Slime, every enemy can be handled in three different ways:
⚔️ Kill it for faster XP
🍽️ Swallow it to absorb cards, passives, and sometimes drawbacks
💙 Soothe it to recover, build trust, and influence future encounters with its species
Your choices affect your build, enemy factions, and the rest of the run. There is also a global leaderboard for players who want to push their strategy as far as possible.
I built the project largely on my own, using AI-assisted tools throughout development, while personally handling the game design, balancing, testing, localization, and launch. Without those tools, this game probably would never have existed.
I’d especially love your feedback on:
• Which of the three approaches feels the most satisfying
• Whether the mechanics are easy to understand during the first run
• What you would most like to see added or improved next
Thank you for checking out my little blue Slime, and good luck climbing the leaderboard! 💙
