Hey Product Hunt š
Getting the obvious out of the way first: this is a pay-to-rank
leaderboard, and I did not invent the format. outbid.lol did it last
week, went genuinely viral, and ~18 clones followed within days. There
is now a leaderboard of bid leaderboards, ranked by bid. That's usually
the point where a format is finished.
So why build another one?
Because a general board makes an AI founder bid against a jersey index
and a cleaning app for one slot. Nobody is browsing that. The whole
premise of paying for rank is that the people looking at the board are
the people you want.
outbidai.lol is AI apps only:
ā Every submission is checked for being an actual AI product. Non-AI
gets rejected. That's the entire positioning, so I'd rather reject
revenue than dilute it.
ā 12 categories, which means 12 #1 spots. "#1 in Coding" or "#1 in
Agents" is a claim you can screenshot and actually defend, instead of
fighting for one slot against the whole internet.
ā Bids are cumulative. Get outbid at $220 when you paid $200 and you
need $21 to retake it, not another $221. You never lose what you put in.
One thing I want to be blunt about: every listing on this board is paid
advertising and it says so, on the listing, in the footer, in the rules.
Rank reflects money, nothing else. No editor's picks, no vote rings, no
"top 10 tools of 2026" post that quietly sold every slot. Plenty of
directories do exactly that without telling you. Here the price is the
whole point and it's public.
The board is new, so the top is cheap right now. Whoever takes #1 today
does it for less than lunch ā and then gets to watch people pay to take
it off them.
Happy to answer anything, including the "isn't this just a clone"
question. It is a format. This is the version built for one audience.
