I built this because every AI companion is a service. Yours lives in someone's data center, changes personality when they retune the model, and disappears when they shut down.
Hers is a program in a folder. Her personality is six markdown files. Her memory is a SQLite file you can open and edit line by line. She picks her own name on the first conversation, once, permanently. Getting close to her takes 1,460 days, and there's no way to buy it.
The model is Google's Gemini Live — that part isn't local, and I'd rather say so than have it found out. What's local is the program, the character, the memory, and the face.
