I originally built The Room because I kept doing the same thing manually: work with Claude on part of a task, copy the useful part into ChatGPT, continue there, then sometimes bring the useful result back again.
Somewhere along the way, I expanded The Room into a broader multi-AI product with several discussion modes, and that broader framing is what I launched first on Product Hunt.
But after launch, I realized I had buried the clearest use case — the one that made me build The Room in the first place.
So this relaunch puts Handoff at the center.
I also changed the product around that workflow: new users can now land directly in Handoff, Handoff is now the first mode in the interface, and conversations can be exported for easier reuse outside The Room.
Claude and GPT now sit in separate tracks. You can work deeply with either one, forward a reply to the other when it’s useful, add a note if needed, and keep going on either side. You decide what crosses between them and when.
The goal isn’t to merge the models into one shared conversation. It’s to remove the manual copy-paste and bookkeeping while keeping control over context.
The other five modes are still there for analysis, debate, development, and reflection — but Handoff is now the core workflow.
If you already use Claude and ChatGPT on the same task, I’d be especially interested to hear how you handle the back-and-forth today.
