But this habit comes with a massive privacy risk if a device is ever lost, stolen, or compromised. I wanted to build a perfect middle ground between the convenience of quick messaging and the high-level security of a dedicated password manager. What is CipherBite? It is a privacy-first tool that converts your sensitive information into unique, encrypted cipher text that can only be decoded through the app. We strictly adhere to the golden rule of cybersecurity: "Never roll your own crypto". Here is what makes it unique: ✅ Military-Grade Encryption: Powered by the industry-standard AES-256 algorithm. ✅ 100% Offline & On-Device: Zero internet connection is required for the core encryption process. No backend servers tracking your data. ✅ Secure Local Vault: Automatically saves your history locally in an encrypted SQLCipher database. ✅ Extra Protection: Lock specific encrypted messages with an additional PIN. ✅ Cloud Backup: Safely backup your vault to a hidden, protected folder (appDataFolder) in your personal Google Drive.
