Hey Product Hunt! The other maker of Epilude here 👋
Frustrated you have to send your voice over the wire for meeting note transcriptions? Worried you'll forget what was said if you don't?
Epilude transcribes and summarises your meetings on-device, on your Mac. No bot joins the call, so nobody sees an "AI Notetaker" sitting in the participant list. This has given me peace of mind when it comes to the horde of meetings each week - rather than messaging teammates and going over the same information, I can always fall back to the transcription or the locally processed AI meeting notes (yes, this all runs on your machine too).
Try our free trial, try it on your next call - and let us know if you have any feedback or thoughts!
I love the idea, and it's really cool that you have a lifetime/pay-once option with no cloud dependency. It feels like the good old days — app purchases are back, which is possible again thanks to local AI models.
I have one question and one concern.
Question: Can I hook my Claude Code up to the meeting transcripts to do more powerful meeting summarization? How would it work in practice? Is it a folder where Epilode stores the transcripts, or does it work some other way?
Concern: The Pay Once option only includes one year (!) of app and model updates... does that mean I'll have to buy the app again every year? I mean, what if it stops working when the next macOS drops?
