@troy_johnston Upvoted. I appreciate that you built this with read only access from the start because earning trust matters when you're dealing with financial data. I'm curious, how do you keep card recommendations accurate when issuers change reward categories or promotional offers?
@spotch_founder Thanks Nick, appreciate that. We learned this one the hard way. A few cards changed or closed earlier this year and we caught them late. So now it is a system. Every card fact lives in a verified registry a weekly pass hunts for stale entries and closures. Anything we can't confirm gets pulled until a human rechecks the issuers page and detail.
And the AI never answers from memory, it queries that database. So worst case is a few days stale after a mid week change not a bonus category from 2023.

finally someone solved the "which card do i swipe" problem. hooked it up to claude code in two minutes and it actually pulled my real utilization without me copy-pasting anything
@jerry_goldsmith That is exactly the moment we built for. Two minute setup was a hard requirement, if a connector needs a manual it is dead. Curious what you find yourself asking most now that it is wired in, the checkout question or the utilization check?
love that you can revoke access anytime and it's read only, that's honestly the thing that would make me trust connecting my financial data in the first place. smart move
@florence_waverly Thanks Florence. Honestly it felt like the only move, not the smart one. Nobody should hand write access to an AI just to ask questions about their own wallet. Read only, OAuth, revoke from your AI app settings anytime, and we never see your bank login. That is the setup and it will stay that way.
