Hey Product Hunt 👋
Every physician I talk to says some version of the same thing: they went into medicine to treat patients, not to type notes until midnight. Documentation has quietly become one of the biggest drivers of burnout in healthcare.
That is why we built SmartNotes AI.
SmartNotes AI is an AI medical scribe. It listens to the natural conversation between a doctor and a patient and turns it into a structured, accurate clinical note automatically. No dictation, no wrestling with templates, no charting after hours.
What it does:
Generates clinical notes from the visit in real time
Works across specialties, not just one
Fits into the workflow doctors already use
Built HIPAA-compliant for real clinical settings
The goal is simple. Give physicians their evenings back so they can focus on the patient in front of them instead of the keyboard.
We would genuinely love your feedback, especially from anyone who works in or around healthcare. What part of clinical documentation eats the most of your time today? We are reading every comment and shipping fast.
Thanks for checking it out.

Tried it on a quick mock visit and the SOAP note it pulled out was honestly closer to what I would write than I expected, biggest thing I noticed was how well it handled the back and forth interruptions.

@jocelyn_julia Great to hear, Tamami. Real clinical conversations are rarely perfectly linear, so handling interruptions while still producing a clear SOAP note is something we care deeply about. Thank you for testing it and sharing your experience.

Took it for a spin with a few mock visits and was surprised how well it pulled out the actual assessment and plan without me nudging it. Cuts my charting time way down, genuinely impressed.

@eden_macdonald Thanks so much, Eden. We’re really glad it could capture the assessment and plan naturally without extra prompting. Helping clinicians reduce charting time while maintaining note quality is exactly what we’re working toward.

The medical specialty presets are a nice touch but it would be really useful to have a feedback loop where I can flag a note as inaccurate and the system learns from my corrections over time. That would make it much more reliable for complex cases like mine.

@nikylamederos Thank you for the thoughtful feedback, Nikyla. A feedback loop that learns from corrections could be especially valuable for complex cases and specialty specific documentation. We have noted this suggestion. Which parts of the note do you find yourself correcting most often?

The notes came out surprisingly well structured on my first try, way better than the clunky templates I usually wrestle with. Wish I had this during residency.

@xander_yates We really appreciate this, Xander. We built SmartNotes AI to reduce the frustration of rigid templates and make documentation feel more natural. Hearing that it would have been useful during residency means a lot to us.
