I built Tensai because of a flow I run daily: Claude for architecture and reasoning, ChatGPT for coding and fast audits. Every switch meant re-explaining what we'd already worked out in the other tab.
Tensai fixes that at the tab switch itself. Move from Claude to ChatGPT or vice-versa and the handoff is already sitting in the prompt box - decisions, open questions, code, compressed locally. You read it, edit it if you want, send it yourself. Nothing auto-sends.
The hard part was making that trigger reliable - telling a deliberate tab switch apart from a background tab, across Claude's and ChatGPT's very different DOMs. Once that worked, I looked at what else was out there and realized most context-transfer extensions still need a click somewhere - an icon, a button, a popup step. That's a fine trade if you remember to do it. I kept forgetting exactly when I needed it most, which is what pushed me toward automatic in the first place.
Context-limit detection came later, almost as a side effect - once tab-switch detection was solid, noticing "Claude is about to hit its limit" and pre-filling the ChatGPT handoff early was a small extra step.
