Hey PH! I'm Madhav. I've spent 15+ years in product and have been helping PMs and aspiring PMs land their target roles for a few years now via resume reviews, mock interviews, case study prep, and career guidance sessions. PMResume is a result of combining my hiring and mentoring experience into a tool anyone can use.
How it started:
I posted an opening on my team on LinkedIn and got flooded with generic resumes. People would message "Can you refer me?" with a PDF that clearly wasn't written for the job. I'd been giving the same feedback for years: tailor your resume, lead with impact, show the hiring manager you read the job description. Nothing changed at scale. So I built this tool.
What problem it solves:
PM resumes are a black box. You don't know if your resume communicates impact, whether your career story is compelling, or what's holding you back. Feedback is either vague ("add more metrics") or expensive ($50+/session coaches). And when applying to roles, you can't tell how well you actually fit.
PMResume answers all of that. Score → Fix → Tailor → Prep. One pipeline for the entire PM job search.
How we evolved:
Soft-launched in April 2026 as a simple Job fit checker. Since then, we've shipped 30+ releases, including standalone resume scoring, bullet-by-bullet analysis, ATS readiness checks, AI bullet rewriting, inline editing, tailored fixes for specific JDs, referral message generation, and interview prep from gap analysis.
Every week, we do real resume breakdowns and prompt iterations. The scoring prompts have been refined through real resume evaluations, competitor analysis, and market research on what PM hiring managers actually look for. The AI doesn't just check keywords. It evaluates career progression, impact framing, seniority-appropriate depth, and even detects AI-generated language.
A few things to note:
- Your resume is never stored as a file. Text is extracted, analyzed, and then the original is discarded. Contact info is stripped before the AI sees it.

Would love to see a score breakdown that compares my resume against the specific job I'm applying to, not just generic PM criteria. Like a percentage match for each PM competency tied to that JD, so I know exactly which areas to sharpen before submitting.
