I've been shipping Chrome extensions for a while, and this one came out of a very specific, very current problem: recruiters are now actively screening for AI-written applications, and most companies never tell you that's why you got silence instead of a callback. SoundHuman pastes into any text box, or takes your resume PDF directly, and runs it through a real AI model (not a keyword list) that flags exactly which phrases sound generic or templated, with a specific fix for each one. Score, verdict, done in a few seconds. A few things I cared about getting right: - It never stores what you check. Text is used once to run the analysis and then it's gone. - PDF text extraction happens locally in your browser, the file itself is never uploaded anywhere. - The free tier is a real free tier (3 text checks + 1 PDF check), not a watered-down demo. I'd genuinely love feedback on the scoring, especially edge cases where it flags something that reads fine to a human, or misses something that clearly sounds AI-written.
