"What's up, G!" is a free, AI-powered neural search interface designed for social practitioners and community leaders navigating complex social landscapes. We integrate Impact Intelligence through a Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) model, bridging real-world stories with actionable data metrics for members. How does the data-as-a-service side actually work in practice, like are you pulling from public sources or do members feed in their own data too?
@ymet_k37866 Great question. Members contribute. And then, based on an anonymous search 'ask anything ', we produce quarterly reports about what people are seeking to solve and suggestions we have. We didn't want to use a public source when we had a unique group of positive deviants dating back to 2007; it was a chance to value their knowledge, but also a way for our core founders to expand their reach beyond pricey consultant fees and trying to win RFP's to expand and share what has helped us see 88% of people we have engaged since 2007 exit gangs/change their level of gang involvement and how those same princioples have been applied to support governments, universities, colleges, and cities in North America. Curious how you handle privacy when pulling in real community stories alongside the data layer, especially for sensitive groups. Do users control which narratives get connected to which metrics?
@cansev25195 Hi, yes, that was our first challenge. We have a positive deviant advisory group who ok's stories and narratives to include and share in profits.
How does the AI actually pull in the real-world stories you mention, is that manual input from members or does it scrape public sources automatically?
@metehan364706 Greetings, we pull from real world positive deviants. Over the last 20 years we have established a network of 300+ ex gang members and custom crafted tools, or redesigned classic tools. Great question.
Tried it for a bit and the impact metrics side actually feels useful, not just buzzwords. Caught myself typing questions I'd usually bounce off three different dashboards.

We also added nudges to the system to make it more than a search engine, but also an impact calculator that detects words like 'training' or 'sroi' for example and provides you a tool to measure your sroi or provide you a training plan that uses 70-20-10 adult learning principles that are often missing when people want to learn a skill.
