👋 hey PH - Ben here. I started Loam because hiring was a huge pain in the neck at my past startup. As we were making our first hires, I needed a way to keep things organized. It quickly became obvious that tools like Ashby and Greenhouse were built for much bigger organizations. They all had super complex UI's, way too many features, and too big a price tag ($400+/mo) for what I needed as a founder. For years, I was relegated to hiring out of a spreadsheet, wasting time copying & pasting instead of doing more important things. As agents have grown more capable, these legacy hiring tools have become not only clunky, but archaic. Hiring still involves a massive amount of human interaction and judgement, but the time-consuming grunt work of sorting applications and sourcing candidates should be handled by AI. We built Loam to be the all-in-one hiring system specifically for early stage teams. Core hiring activities like building a job board, tracking applicants, and sourcing candidates all thru a single connected platform. And importantly, we built the product to be just as intuitive to agents as it is to humans. Anything you can do in Loam can be done by AI, so if you want to drive your hiring process entirely through Claude Code that's available to you.
