In an era where AI is obsessed with "optimizing" your productivity, MiProse takes the opposite path. We don't summarize your day, and we don't fix your emotions. Write your most honest, raw words tonight. Upload a moment of your current reality. We seal it with physical wabi-sabi logic, safeguard it from the digital noise, and deliver it suddenly back to your inbox exactly 365 days later—accompanied by a profoundly warm, poetic reply from our AI Old Friend.

Hi Product Hunt community!
In a world driven by micro-seconds, instant notifications, and ephemeral digital noise, we wanted to build a sanctuary for your most honest thoughts. A place to pause, breathe, and slow down.
That is why we created MiProse. It’s not just another web app; it is a digital-physical artifact crafted with slow-tech, wabi-sabi principles.
Every single element on your screen—from the raw tactile cotton-fiber parchment paper, the soft candlelight shadow play, to the custom debossed M·P wax seals locking your envelope—was meticulously sculpted to bring back the missing weight and intimacy of a real handwritten letter.
Write your letter tonight. Upload a photograph of your current reality (our Polaroid frame gently breathes with candlelight). We will seal it with physical logic, safeguard your memory from the daily chaos, and deliver it suddenly back to your inbox exactly one year later—accompanied by a profoundly warm, poetic reply from our AI Old Friend.
We are incredibly excited to open the gates today. Drop your thoughts below—let us know what you would write to your future self!
Thank you for being part of this slow-tech journey with us.

genuinely curious about one thing - if i upload a photo and write something tonight, does the AI Old Friend actually see what i wrote a year ago, or is the reply generated fresh from whatever i send next?
@erdileylak Hi Erdi, Thank you so much for this beautiful question. It goes straight to the heart of why we built MiProse.
The answer is a definitive yes! the AI Old Friend will actually read what you write tonight.
We don't generate anything on the spot today. Your letter and photo are safely stored away for a whole year. When 365 days pass, the AI Old Friend will look back at your exact inputs from tonight—revisiting the memory you captured and the words you poured out—and craft a profoundly reflective reply tailored precisely to who you were a year ago.
It's a genuine time capsule designed to bring back the real weight and emotion of a handwritten letter across time.
Curious how you handle the long-term storage side, especially since the whole concept relies on getting that email back to me in a year intact. Are messages stored on your own infra, or are you using something like AWS S3 with a custom retention layer, and what happens to them if the company ever shuts down?
@veli359929 Hi Veli, really sharp question. Trust is everything for a time capsule.
Technically, all letters and images are securely stored and encrypted on our backend infrastructure—nothing sits exposed.
To answer your hardest question honestly: As an indie founder, I take this backup very seriously. If DZent Limited ever has to shut down, our contingency protocol is to safely export and batch-deliver every pending, locked letter back to its owner's inbox before we wind down the servers. While they might arrive without the future AI response in that extreme worst-case scenario, I will personally ensure that your original memories and raw words are never lost and are returned safely to you. Your trust is safe with us.
Wrote something pretty unfiltered last night and forgot about it until the reminder hit my inbox this morning. The reply actually felt like it came from someone who remembered the mood, not just the words.
@smet1588346 Thank you so much!
"Someone who remembered the mood, not just the words"—this is exactly why we spent months tweaking the AI Old Friend. We wanted it to feel less like a modern LLM summary and more like an empathetic companion reading your letter under the same candlelight.
I'm so glad your unfiltered words found a beautiful echo. Thanks for sharing this!
