Honest answer: it actually reads your CV properly. Under the hood, the widget sends both your full CV and the complete job description to GPT-4o (with the entire context window) before generating each question. No keyword extraction, no template matching. The model reads the two documents together and writes questions that reference specific things from your background against what the role actually needs.
For a role like UX research, that means it can ask things like "Walk me through a mixed-methods study where the qualitative and quantitative findings conflicted — how did you resolve it?" rather than a generic "tell me about your research process." For data engineering, it goes deeper — pipeline reliability trade-offs, specific tools you've listed on your CV, ETL vs ELT choices — not just "have you used SQL."
Where it works best: when both the CV and JD have specific detail. Vague 3-line JDs produce more generic questions.
Where it has limits: extremely obscure sub-specialisations or brand-new frameworks may get slightly more general responses because model coverage is broader. But for mainstream UXR and data engineering roles, the tailoring is meaningful, not surface-level.
