Launching today
CowCo is an "everything editor" - a UI to work with your AI. It's a simple utility: fully local, no account, free forever. Your agent is reading and writing files all day. But the moment you want to look at or touch one of those files, you drop out of the flow into a scatter of single-purpose apps. CowCo is your Cowork Companion. Browse a project folder, open and edit almost any file type: text, markdown, documents, spreadsheets, images and more, all in one friendly place.

Introducing ... a cow 🐮!
I built me an "everything editor", providing a UI to work with my AI.
It's become immensely useful to me, I shared it with some friends and many seem to like it, so it might be useful to you too. It's a simple utility, fully local, no account, free forever. You're welcome!
We're all working with AI agents now, and the local folders have become the place where humans and AI actually meet. Your agent is reading and writing files all day. But the moment you want to look at or touch one of those files, you drop out of the flow into a scatter of single-purpose apps.
CowCo is your Cowork Companion - your eyes and hands on that shared folder. Point it at a folder, browse the tree, and open and edit the essentials of almost any file type, text, markdown, documents, spreadsheets, images and more, all in one friendly place. The file you're looking at stays fresh as your AI edits it on disk. Think Quick Look that can edit and never goes stale.
It is not AI. There's no agent in CowCo. It's the human half of whatever AI workflow you already run, be it Claude, Copilot or ChatGPT.
Check it out at https://cowco.app/
No bull 🐂, just give it a spin and tell me what you think.
Technical note: It's a Chrome only desktop utility, but installable as a Chrome app (which I wholeheartedly recommend).
Shout-out to (my company) GRID and SuperDoc for licenses to support this launch.
