As one of the developers behind Paper2Gal, what excites me most is not just summarizing papers with AI, but rethinking how people interact with complex knowledge.
We wanted to move beyond the “upload a PDF → get a plain summary” pattern. Paper2Gal tries to turn academic reading into a more structured, character-driven experience, where users can explore key ideas through dialogue, story progression, and interactive explanations.
Building this has been a really interesting challenge: parsing dense documents, preserving the logic of the paper, and then transforming that content into something that feels approachable without losing accuracy. We’re still early, but we’d love to hear feedback from researchers, students, and builders who care about new ways of learning.
