Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Philip, the founder of CoverEdge. Honestly, this whole thing started in 2025 as my own messy spreadsheet.
I'd learned to sell options from a retired broker and was running covered calls and cash-secured puts on my personal account. Every single week I'd sit down and update a sprawling spreadsheet โ positions, premium collected, fees, rolls โ just to answer one question: *what does this stock actually cost me, net, after everything I've sold against it?*
Eventually I was spending more time babysitting the spreadsheet than actually finding good trades. So I built the tool I wished existed.
In CoverEdge, every premium, close, roll, and assignment is recorded as an immutable ledger entry โ and every number you see (positions, P\&L, annualized return, true net cost basis) is derived from that ledger. Nothing is fudged, and nothing gets lost in a roll.
What began as a personal tool kept growing. The more I built, the more I realized how much could live in one place instead of being scattered across a dozen browser tabs and sites. CoverEdge was built for an audience of one โ me โ and now I'm opening it up to every retail options seller who'd rather run their strategy than babysit a spreadsheet.
Would love your feedback. Ask me anything.

@philip_picciottiย Congrats on the launch! ๐ Love the focus on options income investors rather than trying to do everything. Curiousโwhat's the feature that users usually say saves them the most time: broker sync, rolling positions, or the P&L tracking?

Thanks so much, @nicole_hynekย appreciate that! Yeah, we made a deliberate call to go deep for options income folks instead of being a generic everything-tracker.
Honestly it's a bit of a split answer. The broker sync and P&L tracking are what save the most time week to week. People are usually coming from a messy spreadsheet, so getting trades imported automatically and seeing accurate income without doing the math themselves is the thing they notice first.
But the one that gets the "oh nice" reaction is having everything for a ticker in one spot (price, chain, news, earnings, fundamentals) and then having the AI summarize it in plain English. Instead of opening five tabs to figure out whether to roll or just let it get assigned, you get the gist in a couple sentences. That's the part I'm most proud of.
