This started with a folder on my hard drive. [10 years / 1500 videos] of recorded lectures, family videos, old talks — content I cared about, and could not search. Scrubbing a timeline to find “the part where my grandfather talks about the war” or “the slide where the professor explained that formula” is one of the most frustrating things I know, and the existing tools all wanted me to upload my entire library to their cloud.

So I built the thing I wanted: semantic search over your videos, running 100% on your own machine. On compatible NVIDIA GPUs, AccuVideo can also use GPU processing to speed up indexing and analysis while keeping everything local.

AccuVideo indexes three layers of every video:

🎙 Spoken words — Whisper transcribes the audio locally.
🔤 On-screen text — slides, captions, signs, whiteboards.
👁 Visual content (Pro) — a vision model describes what’s actually on screen (“kids blowing candles”, “whiteboard formula”, “dance scene”).

You ask in plain language, and the player opens at the exact second. No cloud upload. Process your own archive. Embeddings live in a cloud vector index that can’t be reversed into watchable video.

We’re Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon). For macOS Intel, only the Basic version will be available due to hardware requirements.
