I’m Steve, a solo founder from Akron, Ohio. I built TemplateVault because I was tired of starting from scratch every time I brought my car to a new shop — handing over a glove box full of receipts and hoping they believed me about the timing belt.
The idea is simple: the VIN is the vehicle’s permanent memory. Everything attached to it — service records, AI repair estimates, open recalls, predictive maintenance alerts, IRS mileage logs — lives on the vehicle, not on an app that gets deleted or a shop that closes.

🔒 Ownership Verification — when a car is sold, the full history transfers to the new owner. The old owner retains read-only access. Every service entry is write-audited. The record can’t be retroactively altered.
