We built SimpleAct because we saw a growing gap between how fast companies adopt AI and how difficult it is to actually govern and document it properly. As the EU AI Act evolved, many organizations started realizing that AI compliance is not just a legal topic — it becomes an operational challenge across multiple teams. Most existing solutions felt either too theoretical, overly enterprise-heavy, or dependent on fragmented spreadsheets and manual workflows. We wanted to create a platform that makes AI governance practical, structured, and operational in day-to-day business environments. During development, our focus evolved from “just compliance” to building a centralized operational workspace for AI governance. That includes AI inventories, risk classifications, governance workflows, incidents, audit evidence, and operational controls — all in one place.
