Hey everyone!
I built ToobText because I wanted fast, free, simple ways for myself and others to transcribe YouTube videos & make useful content out of it.
Most transcript tools felt clunky or overloaded, so I wanted something dead simple: paste a link, get clean text instantly.
I also personally love the "URL swap" feature, where you can just swap out "youtube" for "toobtext" in ANY YouTube video URL to instantly get the transcription.
But then again, the ToobText browser extension does add a pretty convenient little "Transcribe with toobtest" button on YouTube video pages too, if you prefer that method.
I'm curious what you think, especially what you’d want added next.
I am also working to add a feature to the ToobText browser extension to provide YouTube video transcriptions ON the actual YouTube video pages, so stay tuned for that (it's coming very soon!)
