As a coach and parent, I noticed something interesting: Many teenagers already talk to AI about thoughts and feelings they don’t want to share with parents, friends or teachers. And honestly — I think that’s natural. Some things simply feel hard to say out loud. At the same time, I believe it’s healthier to express thoughts somewhere instead of internalizing everything alone. When I looked closer at how teens were using AI, I saw both the potential and the risks. So I decided to build a version designed specifically for teenagers — with clearer boundaries, emotional safety principles, calmer guidance and a stronger focus on reflection instead of dependency. An important part of StayTrue is that it encourages teens to reconnect with real people — parents, trusted adults and supportive conversations in real life — instead of replacing them. StayTrue was created to help teens slow down, sort their thoughts and feel a little less alone in stressful everyday situations.
