Copilot Cowork adds iOS/Android apps, reusable skill templates, and connectors to Dynamics 365, Power BI, and third-party tools so enterprise teams can delegate and execute work across devices and systems. Available via Frontier program.

Microsoft just added three things to Copilot Cowork that change how it fits into a working day.
What it is: Copilot Cowork is Microsoft's agentic delegation tool inside Microsoft 365, built to let you hand off real work tasks and get finished outputs back, not just answers.
The original version launched through the Frontier program in March and ran on desktop only. The gap was obvious: most work doesn't start at a desk.
Delegation is most useful the moment you think of a task, whether that's during a commute, between meetings, or away from your machine.
The new iOS and Android apps close that gap. You hand off a task from your phone, and Cowork continues working in the cloud while you move on.
What makes it different: The Skills layer is worth paying attention to. Rather than prompting from scratch each time, you can capture a specific workflow once your structure, your tone, your process and apply it repeatedly.
That's closer to encoding institutional knowledge than it is to basic AI prompting. Combined with the plugin system, which now connects to Dynamics 365 (sales, service, ERP), Power BI via Fabric IQ, and incoming third-party connectors including Miro, monday.com, LSEG, and S&P Global Energy, Cowork can operate across the actual systems enterprise teams use rather than in isolation.
Key features:
iOS and Android apps for mobile task delegation
Background execution in the cloud while you're away from your desk
Built-in Skills for common Microsoft 365 workflows (documents, meetings, research)
Custom Skills to encode team-specific processes and standards
Native integrations with Dynamics 365 across sales, customer service, and ERP
Power BI integration via Fabric IQ
Third-party connectors: Miro, monday.com, LSEG, S&P Global Energy (rolling out)
Custom plugin support for org-specific systems
Benefits:
Delegate recurring work without rebuilding instructions each time
Keep tasks progressing across device switches without losing context
Connect AI-driven execution to the business systems where data actually lives
Scale consistent workflows across teams using shared Skills
Who it's for: Enterprise knowledge workers running repeated workflows across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or connected business systems, particularly those managing coordination across devices and teams.
My read is that the mobile layer plus the Skills system together shift Cowork from a desktop chat interface into something closer to a persistent work delegate. The interesting question is whether teams actually build the Skills library that makes it compounding over time. Worth watching closely.
