I’ve always been fascinated by how complex drug discovery is, and how inaccessible most of the tools are. A lot of modern approaches rely on black-box AI models or expensive infrastructure, which makes it hard for individuals to experiment or learn. I wanted to see if I could build something simpler and more transparent, a system where molecules evolve using clear rules and real chemistry, powered by RDKit. This started as a curiosity project, but it turned into a working engine for exploring chemical space locally. Long term, I’d love for tools like this to make early-stage drug discovery more accessible and eventually contribute to more affordable innovation.
