Most monitoring tools are Pull-type — you have to go check them. HiyokoBar is Push-type. It lives in your macOS menu bar and surfaces the information you need, before you think to ask. Run any shell script, Python, or JS on a schedule. Results appear as beautiful glass cards under your menu bar. When something breaks, Gemini AI automatically diagnoses the error — no copy-pasting logs. Full GUI configuration. No JSON required. $39 one-time purchase.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm hiyoyoko, a solo indie developer from Japan.
I built HiyokoBar because I was tired of constantly switching windows to check if my Docker containers were running, if GitHub had new PRs, if my server was alive...
The idea was simple: what if that information just lived in your menu bar, always visible, without you having to ask for it?
So I built a push-type HUD. You click the menu bar icon, and a glass panel drops down showing the live output of any shell scripts you configure. When something breaks, Gemini AI automatically diagnoses the error and shows you what went wrong — no copy-pasting logs into ChatGPT.
Built with Rust + Tauri 2.0. Full GUI config, no JSON required. $39 one-time.
Would love your feedback! 🐤💐
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm hiyoyoko, a solo indie dev from Japan 🇯🇵
I was tired of alt-tabbing 10 times a morning just to check Docker status and GitHub PRs. There had to be a better way.
So I built HiyokoBar — an always-on dashboard that lives in your menu bar and surfaces the info you need, before you think to ask.
- Run any shell script on a schedule → results appear as glass cards
- Error detected? Gemini AI auto-diagnoses it instantly
- Full GUI — zero JSON required
Built on battle-tested architecture from my Hiyoko app family 🐥
Would love your feedback! And curious — what's your go-to menu bar app? 👇
