Hey everyone! I'm the solo developer behind Storynite.
The idea came from my own bedtime routine. Every night, my kid would want a story about their day — "tell me about when we saw the butterflies" or "make one where I go to space with my sister." I'd improvise something, and they'd be asleep in minutes.
I realized the magic wasn't just about telling a cool story, it was that the story was *about them* and *about today*. That specificity made it feel real and personal in a way that even the best library books can't.
So I built Storynite to capture that. You share a few details about your child's day, and it generates a fully illustrated bedtime story where they're the hero.
What surprised me was the gratitude journal that emerged naturally. Because you're reflecting on the day's highlights every night, it becomes this quiet ritual of noticing what was good. Parents have told me they started having real conversations at bedtime instead of just rushing through a book.
