We built the research tool we wished existed in grad school one that actually finds real papers, cites them correctly, and helps you write the whole thing, not just the first draft.

Hey everyone! 👋 I'm Sam, the founder of CiteDash.
I built CiteDash because I was tired of the same problem every researcher faces: ChatGPT writes confidently but cites papers that don't exist. Google Scholar finds papers but doesn't help you write. Zotero manages references but has zero AI. You end up juggling 5 tools to write one paper.
CiteDash is a single platform that searches 18+ academic databases (Semantic Scholar, PubMed, OpenAlex, ArXiv, etc.), verifies every source actually exists, and helps you write research reports, notes, assignments, and even generates exam review questions all with properly formatted citations in 10,000+ styles.
Under the hood, it's not just "prompt → answer." There's a multi-agent pipeline (Planner → Researcher → Reviewer → Writer) that actually revises its own work before delivering. You can watch the whole process happen in real-time via streaming.
A few things I'm particularly proud of:
1. Every citation is verified and linked to a real DOI/URL from 18 academic databases. Zero hallucinations.
2. Watch your research happen live with a multi-agent AI team (Planner → Researcher → Reviewer → Writer) works step-by-step with real-time streaming. Not a black box.
3. One platform for everything e.g research reports, lecture notes, assignments, exam review Q&A, and a real-time writing editor. No more juggling 5 tools.
We offer a free trial (100 credits) so you can try a full deep research before deciding. Would love your feedback especially from grad students, PhD researchers, and anyone who's been burned by fake AI citations.
Happy to answer any questions! 🎓
