Greyline by The Meridian Lab is a managed reverse proxy that detects autonomous AI agents (LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI, OpenClaw, crawlers, etc...) probing your API using 24 signals, then interrogates, delays, or poisons them before they reach real infrastructure. One CNAME, zero code changes. tl;dr: Deploy your own counter agent to hunt and kill unwelcome agents on your web properties

Hey PH 👋!
Right now, while you're reading this, AI agents are hitting your website.
Not bots in the old sense. These are autonomous systems running on GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc... scraping your product catalog, enumerating your API endpoints, harvesting your pricing to feed a competitor's strategy model. They look exactly like legitimate traffic. Same headers. Correct request patterns. Never trigger a rate limit.
You have no idea how many are in your logs right now. And you have no way to stop them.
That's why I built Greyline.
Greyline sits in front of your website or API. Every request gets scored. Humans pass through. AI agents get something else entirely:
Detected? We interrogate them: A counter-agent intercepts the request and demands credentials, use case documentation, compliance disclosures. The agent burns compute cycling through a bureaucratic loop it can't escape.
Confirmed? We tarpit them: Eight-second delays on every request. Your server stays clean. Their operator's API bill goes up.
Maximum threat? We poison them: Greyline reads your OpenAPI spec and returns structurally perfect, completely fabricated data. The agent leaves convinced it has your real information. It doesn't.
Hunt. Interrogate. Kill.
Setup is one CNAME redirect. No code changes. No SDK. No engineering time. Just point your domain at Greyline and watch the hunt begin.
I built this because rate limiters, WAFs, and IP blocks were all designed for a different threat. They assume the problem is volume. The new problem is agents that are polite, spec-compliant, relentless, and the old tools don't see them at all.
If you want to see what's actually in your logs, come try the live demo.
You can watch our Bouncer interrogate a real agent in real time. -> https://greyline.themeridianlab....
