Hey everyone 👋 I'm Hanish, the creator of GutCode. This project is actually deeply personal to me. Gut issues like IBS run in my family, and watching my sister constantly struggle to figure out what was triggering her symptoms was incredibly frustrating. We quickly realized that almost every tracking app out there just forces you to obsess over counting calories, rather than helping you understand how food actually affects your body. So a while ago, I started GutCode as a quiet experiment to fix this. The core loop remains simple: you snap a photo of your food, log your symptoms, and the AI gradually helps you discover patterns in your own data. I also built in a feature where you can select specific conditions (like IBS or Crohn's), and the app will automatically flag known trigger foods accordingly in your personal food map. The beta has been evolving through testing, feedback, and many small iterations. Building it has been a great way for me to explore the intersection of product, behaviour, and preventive health. Version 1.0 just went officially live on the App Store today. It is still very early, but I’m really curious to hear your perspectives and feedback, especially from anyone interested in digital health, prevention, and thoughtful product design.
