Preliant is an AI-powered assistant that helps personal care brands build and maintain globally compliant cosmetics, cutting hours of daily manual work. Our platform continuously analyzes products against complex, evolving regulations, giving teams early guidance on formulation, claims, and packaging. These automated, SKU-specific insights enable teams to build compliant products quickly, while optimizing costs and impact.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Suhana! 👋
Keeping up with evolving regulations to avoid ingredient and packaging violations across dozens of regulatory bodies is a huge pain for personal care companies. We built Preliant to solve this in a way that fits naturally into workflows across regulatory, product, and marketing teams.
Teams upload product data—formulation, packaging images, claims, and raw materials—into a single workspace instead of scattered spreadsheets. Our platform extracts packaging text with OCR and analyzes everything with our LLM-powered risk engine. In seconds, we determine which rules apply to each product and region using continuously scraped FDA, Health Canada, and CosIng (EU) guidance. We currently support compliance for ingredients, colourants, claims, and packaging EPR—areas where teams often rely on fragmented research or expensive consultants.
Preliant moves compliance to where it belongs: at the beginning of product development.

Hi @suhana_nadeem Congrats on the launch! This is super cool. I used to work on packaging, and even in packaging, there were so many different rules on what type of materials and chemicals were acceptable in Europe versus the U.S. So I can't imagine how complex it is for cosmetic products.
One question I was wondering about, for a mid-sized team moving from spreadsheets to Preliant, how much time are they typically saving on their product launch cycles?
Thanks @mauriceiii — great question!
The biggest time savings on the packaging side come from eliminating the manual process of checking fragmented sources (FDA, internal spreadsheets, consultant notes, etc.) when evaluating packaging materials from multiple suppliers.
In Preliant, teams can enter packaging details in minutes and use our versioning and comparative analysis features to instantly see which option is best from an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fine and compliance perspective.
From the feedback we’ve received so far, including from packaging experts at DECIEM, this saves mid-sized packaging teams roughly 2–4 hours of work per day during product launches.
