Ever since I started using AI tools, I kept running into the same problem: replicating the overall context of my projects across different LLMs, and providing my AI tools with up-to-date information and examples about the technologies I use to build my products. AI is incredibly useful and fast, but it's rarely fully up to date, and you often have to repeat the same context over and over again. When the MCP protocol first appeared, I realized I could build **MCPBay** to solve this problem… or at least that was the original idea. Today, MCPBay has grown into a robust platform for managing AI contexts. It helps extend the capabilities of AI tools by providing them with structured knowledge and tools, both local and external. What makes MCPBay different is that, unlike most platforms that offer a specific AI solution behind a subscription, MCPBay provides a full platform where you can design, maintain, distribute, and use your own context solutions — whether for yourself, your team, your company, or others. You can use it to extend your LLMs with your project knowledge, or to create useful contexts that can be shared or even sold for use by AI tools. Our goal is to build the main hub for AI contexts, where developers and users can publish and discover reusable contexts for frameworks, stacks, and workflows.
