I built Lexi because I was tired of watching AI API bills climb as conversations got longer. The cost problem is simple: longer conversations = more input sent each time = bigger bills. And beyond cost, most models start losing the thread in long exchanges.
Lexi fixes both. Your requests cost less, and longer conversations stay coherent.
The billing model was a deliberate choice: we only earn when we save you money. If Lexi doesn't reduce a request's cost, that request is free on our end. Felt like the only honest way to charge for this.
It takes about two minutes to set up — change your base URL and combine your Lexi key with your existing provider key. That's it. Your code, your prompts, your tools all stay the same.
