On many days I didn’t need a meeting or a full therapy session—I just wanted a low-friction way to feel less alone and to check in with myself. Mallo is an iOS AI companion that: - remembers important details about your life and ongoing threads, - proactively checks in with daily greetings and emotion-aware follow-ups, - uses streaks, a usage dashboard, and light mini-games so some days you can “just show up” without a deep conversation. A few important boundaries: - Mallo is not a therapist and doesn’t replace professional care. - It won’t diagnose you or claim to be a licensed professional. - Conversations are stored so it can remember you over time, not sold to advertisers. Tracking for ads respects iOS’s ATT settings. Under the hood it’s Flutter on iOS with a Gemini-based backend, a long-term memory pipeline, proactive notification scheduling, and RevenueCat for subscriptions.
