Hey Product Hunt. I'm Adam. I spent 20 years in corporate IT before I started building Articlefoundry.
Last year I needed content to help another product I was building get visibility and rank and signed up for a couple popular AI content generators. The output wasn't something I'd personally want to read past the headline. So I tried doing it myself with AI as a tool. Even then, a single article took hours. The research always came back thin. Never the primary sources. Nothing cited inline. And the writing read like exactly what it was.
I found myself asking the question: why does every AI content tool skip the parts that actually matter?
Google doesn't care if AI writes your content. They've said so explicitly. What they reward is depth, authoritative sources, and verifiable claims. 74% of new content online is now AI generated. Only 14% of what actually ranks is. That gap exists because most AI content has no real research behind it, no editorial voice, and nothing a reader would trust enough to share.
This gap in the market was bigger than the product I was initially trying to promote, so I pivoted completely and built Articlefoundry.
It's anchored on Fathom, a proprietary research engine I built from the ground up. It doesn't use Perplexity or any third-party research API. It hunts for primary sources, follows citations to original sources, and can reach sites, studies and government data not reachable to other systems. It iterates and discovers insights that exist across sources but not in any one alone.
