WunderType brings AI writing correction system-wide on macOS — select text anywhere, press a shortcut, and it's fixed in place. No switching apps, no copy-pasting. Works in Mail, Slack, Chrome, VS Code, Terminal, everywhere. Choose between fully local AI via Ollama (text never leaves your Mac) or OpenAI. Five built-in modes plus unlimited custom prompts, each with its own shortcut.
I built WunderType because I was constantly frustrated switching to ChatGPT just to fix a sentence in an email or Slack message. Copy text, open browser tab, paste, copy again, switch back — for a grammar fix. It felt absurd.
I wanted something invisible. Press a shortcut, text gets fixed, done. No context switching, no clipboard juggling.
The local AI option with Ollama was important to me too — a lot of writing tools send everything to a server. WunderType can run entirely on your Mac, which felt like the right default for something that touches all your text.
