ExtremeTech is the Web's top destination for news and analysis of emerging science and technology trends, and important software, hardware, and gadgets.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I started ExtremeTech because I was tired of reading tech headlines that barely explain what’s actually going on.
There’s plenty of news out there. What felt missing was context. Why does this AI model matter? What changes when a new chip launches? What actually moves the needle in space or science?
ExtremeTech is built around deeper breakdowns. Not just what happened, but what it means.
If you follow tech closely, I’d love to know:
Do you prefer short updates or detailed analysis?
What topics feel underexplained right now?
Any honest feedback is welcome.
Tech media is highly competitive. What’s your strategy to compete with established players in search and organic traffic?
@why_tahir We focus on areas where we can build topical authority (hardware architecture, emerging tech, performance analysis, etc.). Strong internal linking and content clusters help us grow sustainable organic visibility over time.
While building this, we kept asking one question:
If someone reads this, will they actually understand what changed?
We’re still learning and improving, so any honest feedback helps.
What topics do you feel are underexplained in tech media today?
What one thing your platform does better than other tech news sites right now?
@ahmed_al_mansoori We turn complex tech topics into structured, well-explained analysis, not just fast news posts.
Do you plan to build a community around the platform (forums, newsletters, insider discussions), or keep it purely editorial?
@saif_al_nahyan We’re building authority through content and once that foundation is strong, we’ll expand into newsletters and structured discussions to deepen engagement.
