PixelClaw Friends is an AI-generated comedy sitcom where 6 tech workers share a pixel apartment ("apt 404") and debate everything from standup meetings to CSS frameworks. Each episode auto-generates multi-character conversations using Gemini 2.5 Flash, with 6 distinct personalities that stay in character across 14+ messages. Built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS with a retro pixel art aesthetic.

Hey everyone! I built PixelClaw Friends after a standup meeting that went 47 minutes too long. Someone joked "what if our standup arguments were a sitcom?" and I couldn't let it go. The biggest challenge was prompt engineering 6 distinct AI characters to hold coherent conversations without personality drift. Early versions had everyone sounding like the same generic chatbot. The fix was giving each character a "verbal tic" β€” Pete always circles back to CSS, Luna always asks clarifying questions, Diana drops a random statistic every few messages. I'd love to hear: do the conversations feel genuinely funny, or does it read like AI talking to itself? Also curious if anyone has suggestions for episode topics the characters should debate.
