Hey Product Hunt 👋 Ian here — founder of Pinpointed. I spent 20+ years in wine & spirits retail, and the #1 reason customers don’t buy online isn’t price — it’s uncertainty. In-store, a good salesperson asks a couple questions and makes a confident recommendation. Online, shoppers get filters + tasting notes… and many bounce. So I built Pinpointed AI Sommelier for Shopify: a lightweight chat widget that helps shoppers choose by asking natural questions like: • “What wine goes with salmon?” • “Show me a Malbec under $20” • “Gift whisky for my boss” The key difference: it recommends only products from the store’s live Shopify inventory (so it shouldn’t suggest out-of-stock items).
