What do you think? …

Michael Cozzolino
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Michael, the maker of Jungian Psyche AI — a journaling + reflection app inspired by Jungian psychology. Why I built this (the real reason): A couple of life events hit close together — my mom passed away, and my relationship ended. It kicked off what I can only describe as an individuation process: that intense stretch where the “old you” stops working, and everything you’ve been avoiding shows up anyway. For most of my life I wore a mask: stable, dependable, the one who holds it together for everyone else. Except… I wasn’t doing that for myself. And at some point it clicked: life is too short to keep living as your own supporting character. The problem I was trying to solve: I wanted something that could help me make sense of my inner world without turning journaling into either: a blank-page anxiety spiral, or a shallow “feel better” chatbot. I needed a tool that could actually engage with what I wrote — patterns, recurring themes, shadow material, archetypal dynamics — and gently push me toward clarity instead of avoidance. How it evolved while building: It started as a simple “AI journal that responds.” Then I realized the useful part wasn’t the response — it was the structure: Turning messy emotions into something I could hold and examine Asking better questions than I was capable of asking in the moment Helping me notice repetition (the same story wearing a different costume) Bringing compassion and accountability — not just comfort So I kept refining it into something that feels more like a reflective companion than a generic assistant: grounded, psychologically-informed, and designed to help you slowly uncover what’s underneath the persona you’ve had to be without dictating to you. If you’ve ever felt like you’re “functioning” but not really living… this is for you. I’d love feedback from this community — especially from anyone who journals, is in therapy, or is into Jung / shadow work / archetypes. Ask me anything about the build, the approach, or where I’m taking it next 🙏
