Muse

I built Muse because I love great note-taking apps, but I hated the tradeoff they force you into: either you get powerful AI (and your notes leave your device), or you keep privacy (and lose the AI help). Muse is notes-first: fast editor, search, organization, export/backup—then AI as a native feature, running locally so your notes stay private. The standout for me is Memory Links: as your notes grow, Muse automatically surfaces related ideas you forgot you wrote. During development, the approach evolved from “bolt AI onto notes” to “make AI feel like part of writing”: quick actions anywhere, instant help while editing, and clear UI around context/limits—without turning it into a chat app.
