Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the creator of MascotAI, and I'm beyond excited to share this with you all today. 🚀 What inspired me to build this? As an app developer, I’ve often found myself in a "character gap." I’d have a great app idea, but it lacked personality. Hiring a custom illustrator for every variation—a waving guide for onboarding, a sad character for empty states, or a celebratory buddy for achievements—was either too expensive or too slow. I saw a future where every app could have its own "soul" through a consistent mascot, without needing a dedicated design team for every small asset. 🛠️ What problem are we solving? Standard AI image generators are amazing, but they often lack the "intentionality" needed for UI/UX. MascotAI solves three main pain points: Inconsistency: We use Brand Matching (Hex codes) and Moodboards to ensure your character actually fits your brand, not just a random style. The "Statue" Problem: Most AI art is static. MascotAI transforms static characters into transparent, loopable animations (Walk, Wave, Jump, Dance) with one click. The Blank Canvas: Not everyone is a prompt engineer. Our "Auto-fill from Link" feature analyzes your app URL to extract colors and personality, while our "Purpose-first" (v2) flow guides you through creating specifically for onboarding, notifications, or empty states. 🔄 How the process evolved MascotAI started as a simple prompt-to-character tool. But as I used it myself, I realized that getting the image was only 20% of the work. The real value for a developer is: "How do I get this into my code?" That’s why our approach shifted from "Art Generation" to "Production Workflow." We evolved to include: Transparent Exports: Native .webm and .mov files with alpha channels. Immediate Integration: Auto-generated code snippets for HTML, React, and Expo. Character Engine 3.0: Our latest update that intelligently detects body parts to make animations feel fluid and natural. I’ll be here all day to answer questions and listen to your feedback. I’d love to hear how you’d use a mascot in your current projects! Happy building, Sultan
