Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Christopher Rauser, the founder of ProProfilePhoto. The idea for this project actually started while I was reviewing hundreds of job applications. I noticed a recurring problem: brilliant candidates were using selfies with bad lighting, or their stale passport photos. In a world where your first impression happens on LinkedIn or a resume, a bad photo can be a silent career killer. I looked at existing AI tools to recommend to my network, but I wasn't satisfied. Most of them made people look "plastic," "too perfect," or—worse—like a completely different person. We also saw companies struggling to get consistent, professional headshots for their entire team without the massive logistics of a physical photoshoot. I spent months tuning our model specifically to: Preserve Identity: Keeping your unique facial structure and skin texture so you actually look like you. Remove the "AI Sheen": Avoiding that artificial, overly-smooth look. Scale for Teams: Making it easy for a company of 50 to get a uniform look in 60 minutes.
