This started from a simple curiosity: what would happen if a game reacted not just to winning or losing, but to the way you play? While building this, the focus slowly shifted from pure chess logic to something more subtle — tone, timing, and psychological feedback. The AI characters don’t just comment on moves; they respond to patterns, confidence, hesitation. A lot of the process was iterative and experimental. Some ideas were intentionally left vague or open-ended, to see how players would interpret the experience themselves. I’m sharing this early to see what resonates. Curious to hear how it feels when you play.
